Regional Community Advisory Board (RCAB)
Regional Community Advisory Board Overview: IMPAACT has three Regional CABs (RCABs) which are designated geographically: Africa, Asia and the Americas. Each site is required to designate CAB representatives to serve on the Regional Community Advisory Board and each RCAB selects its representatives for the ICAB. The RCABs bring site CAB members together within a region for networking, training and capacity building. They support information flow between community at the sites and the network. Opportunities for cross-network collaborations are encouraged at the RCAB level, as sites within that region affiliated with other networks could possibly also participate as unaffiliated members in the RCABs. Unaffiliated members might include community members who are not connected to a specific IMPAACT site, or any underrepresented study population (such as adolescents).
